Forget the babes at this New Yearbashes, forget Erica Eleniak’s downloads on Baywatch, Charlie’s Angels have descendedddddd……… in the form of comedy . Cameron Diaz, the Deadly Drew Barrymore, and exquisitely lovely Lucy Liu, a movie that u wud probably sell your Granny to buy tickets.
Now y wud u go watch this movie, becoz of the hype or becoz of Charlie’s Angels dotcom contests, or becoz American beauty lies in the eyes of the Indian beholder, or becoz ur grand dad still tells u stories of the 70’s original when he was in his prime time???? Or becoz u believe ''Never to send a man to do a woman's job.''
Firstly they are beautiful, secondly they're brilliant, and thirdly they work for Charlie, If u thought that ur Bollywood masala films were overdosed with ‘dishoom dishoom’, u just haven’t had enuff yet, as these three ‘un’ halowed angelsjust don’t wanna stop their turn-around high kicks in the air.
In a smart, sexy and seducive rehash of the 70's TV show, ''Charlie's Angels'' revolves around three femme fatales - Natalie the book-wormed angel, Dylan the toughie girl-next-door angel, and Alex the never-say-die angel - as focussed and multi-talented as they are they r droolingly and ravishingly gorgeous.
Charlie’s Angel’s wud leave Jean-Claude Van Dame mesmerised, make Arnold Scwarzaneggertake muscle pumping steroids, and teach Bruce Willisto smoke a cigar. Charlie’s Angelshave flipped around male dominated fite scenes, kicked its butt, poked its eyes and pulled its hair. Though at points in the film one wonders how complex a movie can drag on and how irrelevant certain angles can be.
Charlie’s Angels wittiness is in extremities, and can be dubbed as a Jane Bond, with a touch of The Matrixand tons of Jeckie Chlee (that’s a combo of Jackie Chan and Jet Lee) thrown in.
Cameron’severy move is a delight to watch( something at most will have their tongues out!!!!!) for every minute. Lucyhas the’One Look In Her Eyes’, as much as she is focused and deadly and Drew has the livewireness akin to that or a rattle snake, that can rattle toughies like a Pepsi vending machine. (Don’t forget to watch each ones make-up, with each fit, it only gets better)
At the end of the movie, one comes outta the theatre and wonders if the ‘best woman for a man’s job is a woman, or the best man for a woman’s job is a woman’
