CC2C...? Dont C...!. Review on Chandni Chowk to China Movie

Warner Bros first Venture, Ramesh Sippy & Rohan Sippy Co Production and Nikhil Advani handling the Direction and to top it all Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone.all of this was simply irrestible for me to wait . I therefore Booked the Thursdays Paid Preview of the movie. Seated on my Seat in a Jampacked Multiplex with my Pop Corns and Coke I was eagerly awaiting the start of the movie.!

The movie begins strongly with a Lone Chinese Warrior Liu Sheng Defending his territory fighting on the Great Wall of China from the Enemy Hojo. Although Liu Sheng fights valiantly he is outnumbered and is killed. The Direction and Cinematography of this scene was International. This gave me a feeling that now it is time to get ready for a Magnum Opus to unfold.

The next scene gave me a reality kick and threw me down to earth. Literally, very abruptly we are in Chandni chowk, parathe wali galli and facing Akshay Kumar, who, looks too old now to do Comedy scenes. He has lost the Timing totally and his jokes are too silly to make you even smile, forget about bursting in Laughter. In fact you do feel like bursting into tears whenever he cracks one and what follows is a Parody of events, too fast, too unbelievable and too much of coincidence to be believed. Imagine this.Mithun akshay Kumars's Brother, mentor and owner of the shop where Akshay works, keeps kicking Akshay and each kick of his throws Akshay spiralling out of the Earth's atmosphere and amazingly Akshay falls back down to earth withaout a single scratch.! Ruber Man!

Before you begin to Doze off, you are awakened by a Teleshopping Ad which is Loud and perhaps the only saving Grace. I really wish I would have watched those Ads again and again with Deepika convincing me to buy Dancing Soles. That scene gives you patience to bear this stupid storyline and creates a false believe that things will work up in the latter part of the movie.but in Vain.! Nothing happens then too.

All of us including Deepika and Akshay reach China where Deepika reveals her twin Mongol sis and a Dad who is chinese but speaks hindi and Yes.bear no resemblance to Deepika or vice versa. The Dad, Deepika and Akshay have one thing in common, their enemy Mr. HOJO.

Dialogus are the Weakest link in this move and at times are Vulgar. Eg. Whenever Akshay is hit below the Belt he Screams, " Hai mere Ande.Hai mere Akhrot" I mean what, is this movie not targeted for family audience? In another secene Akshay who has been trained in Kung Fu and his arms have been turned into Lethal Weapons using Iron forearm Technique(?), is Cajoling Deepika and saying "'I have Iron Forearms. Soon I'll have Iron Legs, an Iron Chest, Iron Stomach, ' he pauses to look down pointedly, 'and an Iron. and Deepika puts a finger on Akshay's lips She smiles, flutters eyelids, and breathily says, 'Oh, mere Iron Man.'

Mithun reaches China too only to be killed by Mr. Hojo and his men and thus we are made to believe that now Akshay has something to do with this movie. He wants revenge and in a month or so trained by Deepika's Dad to fight the Mighty Hojo. He fights HOJO and defeats him in an unralistic fight which is a mixture of Crouching tiger hidden Dragon and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.

Please do not assume that the review is strange.because.stranger is the Movie. Deepika's twin sister Meeow Meeow is in hojo's team and only in the end her loyalties change.

Akshay's Comedy, fights and Stunts all seem to be so.so! Nothing Exceptional. Deepika Hams and Hams to the Core! Rest all are Chinese apart form Ranvir Shorey who looks Chinese but in the end of the movie Confuses us more by saying that he is actually African giving us a hint that we also have to bear the Brunt of this movie in a Sequel called Chandni Chowk to Africa.! No.Please.!
