Location: 18 kms from Munnar


Days of Stay: 4 days with my entire family


This resort looked nice and everything looked like it would be great, what a bad assumption. Everything is wrong about this resort. and all of it stems from customer service. They are so far away from Munnar that there is no food available apart from what is provided by the resort, unfortunately the resort only provides what is available on the buffet menu. The true menu is a joke because nothing is available.


Most of the staff does not understand English (It was so bad some staff did not know the difference between coffee and tea. So, we went to a resort, paid 4k a night and got treated like sh*t. Everything was fight, no hot water, the rooms were never cleaned during our stay, the tv did not work and they have no laundry service. Its as bad as it gets.


On the way out I thought my troubles were over, they stopped me at the main gate and the guards (non of whom were in uniform) stopped our vehicle and started fighting. It got so bad that they locked the gate and threatened to hit us if we did not get a gate pass (because they assumed we were stealing in room menus or pillows, cmon). It got really bad. There were several other guests who had such experiences and it was the worst thing to happen to me.


Gate pass clarification: We were not informed of the gate pass and had to deal with this at the end when the fight happened. There were several of the problems like incorrect billing (no automation, all done manually) as well. In fact one the reception tried to charge a guest 50 bks for a missing menu from the room, its just ridiculous.
