Kareena needs humility. Review on Chameli

Will not comment on the film but the politics of the actress who played Chameli's role .Kareena Kappor.

This might or might not be the award winning role for kareena but the point is in what way does Kareena identify with the character she is playing? Not that she has to love all the characters she plays but what happens to her when she plays the marginalised?

To be pertinent I have been following Kareena's interviews on Chameli and the girl has been getting away with her insenitive and silly comments about sex workers. Kareena has said things like that its been a challenge for her to play the role of a ''Prostitute'' because ''she comes from the kapoor family''. I have presumed that that she has essentialised the ''kapoors'' as great and SEX WORKERS as ''not so great''. May I know what great job have kapoors done which the sex worker community of India haven't done...but ofcourse earning a lot of money,running some silly entertainment business, being haughty and being rich.

In a democratic and socialist country which has fought a war of independance how do the rich get away by saying something so arrogant and only because they are rich? Kareena is indeed a badly groomed brat. Product of country's money that was not paid properly in taxes.

Need I add that women Sex workers have contributed much more to the woman's movement in India than priviledged actresses and rich brats like Kareena kapoor. Kareena needs to know that she has not contributed in any way to the image of women and specially to the image of the women living in fringes.

Shame Kareena!
