India's best Independence gift ever to Hindi films. Review on Chak De India

Chak De India, what an amazing film. I just happened to see it last Sunday. I was totally bowled over by the film. Shah Rukh Khan was totally mind-blowing and he was in true form right from the word GO. Also the girls were amazing-- Preti, komal, Rani, Bindiya, Vidya...etc. These are the characters you can take back home. I was wondering all throughout the film whether this would work, but the film has opened fabulously all over, not only in India, but all over the world.

Thank you, Yash Raj films for coming with such a fantastic theme!! Great direction by Shimit Amin, this being just his second film after the not-so-bad Ab Tak Chhappan which came about 3 and a half years ago.....It just goes to show that this was the same audience, I clearly remember who were booing this film's trailors once it were aired in theatres all across the nation... Yahaan tak naubat aa gayi thi ki the promos were supposed to be pulled out from the theatres. This just goes to show how we must not count count our chickens before they are hatched... Also Shah Rukh performing in an off-beat role, much in comparison to what he has/had done in the past was a cut above the rest.... Agreed we had sen some shades in movies like Dil Se, Swades, Yes Boss, etc but this by far has been his career's best performance. The audience were just blowing whistles, applauses and appreciation flowed in from east to west.

This is nothing new for an SRK flick, but this time around it was not just the film or SRK who was being appreciated; but also it was for that one sport what we call it as the National Game of our Nation----HOCKEY. A sport which has been almost forgotten. How sad, but true, thanks to the cricket frenzied fanatics we have in our country. Hopefully this film will once again enlighten the condition of Women's Hockey and revive our passion for the dying sport. Three Cheers, Yash raj. More over Yash Raj Films (YRF) needed badly to get their act together, after recent not so good films like Ta Ra Rum Pum and the more recent Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (read disaster). Had this film not been upto the mark, then it would have appeared that YRF has started taking its audiences for granted. Three Cheers to YRF, Shimit Amit, SRK, and the brilliant team of over a dozen girls for the best film of the year, by far. Chak DE!!!!
