Chak De India. Review on Chak De India

Well the review is late but I did see this film on the first saturday that it opened, I was not going to watch this movie as it did not interest me with the promos and I am not too keen on hockey. But it was the word of mouth about how great it was that got me to go see this movie.

I still was expecting to be disappointed as I am not a hockey fan, quite frankly I don't know how its played. But this movie to me was more about hockey. It was about never giving up and inspiring other through one thing and that is playing for india..Playing for their country and playing as a team..playing as one!

Does Chak De India work? Of course the message does! and Guess what the story does too, get ready for an emotional ride that will have you at the edge of your seats and gets you proud to be indian get ready to shout out proudly "CHAK DE INDIA"!

Kabhir khan (shahrukh khan) who is hatted as an ex hockey player for india  and captain for his team, the whole of india hates him for being known as a traitor for shaking hands with pakistan after he missed a penalty in the hockey finals against them causing india to lose the game.

The hand shaking with the pakistan team made made news and made people and the country believe he fixed the match to miss the penalty! Kabhir khan once a respected sports hockey player was now hated by india. Years later he is back to coach the national women's hockey team "India".

He coaches a bunch of girls, he teaches them what its like to play for india and he wants to get his respect of his country which he loves so much back. He teaches the girls which has all different backgrounds to how to play as one. The womens hockey team is not taken seriously and he is up against all odds to make this work and make indian women hockey team win the world cup.

Chak de India is filled with some amazing moments which make you smile, laugh, and maybe drop a tear. The movie will give you goosebumps just like all the rocky movies would. Some amazing moments is when he is picking the side for india every girl in the team where told to say where they are from and he put them all one by one on the side and was disappointed with each city they where saying they where from.

One girl said her name and said she was from "India" Thats when Kabhir Khan stopped and told everyone that they are playing for only one name and that is "In--di-a" (as seen in the promo) The way all the girls also not getting along and the way kabhir khan teaches them to be one and teaches them to be a team is amazing. There are many funny moments in this movie as well, it really does have everything for everyone and the run time for this movie is 2.30hrs so it does not drag that much, only some bits in the secound half does drag a bit.

Performance wise out of the girls they all did amazing, I don't know all there names but I do know of Vidya Malvade and she does really well. Shahrukh khan as Kabhir Khan does amazing in par with swades and kabhie haan kabhie naa as his finest performance since atleast DDLJ.

He is Kabhir Khan in this movie, he performs amazingly well and I will be shocked if he does not sweep all the awards this year. Do look out for his face expressions through out the movie and his face expression when they beat austraila in the final of the world cup its just to amazing hats of to the king of bollywood!

As the music goes I was not a big fan of chak de indias music but after watching the movie I am listening to it non stop chak de indias title track has already become famouse they are playing it everywhere especially at India Vs Englands ODI Matches and the signs for chak de india is being shown alot there! One song that I loved after I left the cinema hall and I searched up when I got home was "Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan' what a song I have to say people to hear this track its worth it

The movie is amazing people do check it out you will not be dispointed, go and watch this movie and feel how its like being an indian and get ready to say "Chak De"
