Twin Sisters Tale. Review on Chaalbaaz

Chaalbaaz is inspired by the old flick Seeta Aur Geta. It is basically the story to twin sisters who are separated from each other. The Twin sisters role are played by Sridevi. Sridevi always performs well in double roles and this is no exception.

Anju and Manju are two twins who are separated from each other in childhood. Anju is looked after by her uncle and Manju is adopted by a women who is very poor. Anju is often torchered by her uncle becuase he is after her property and on the other hand Manju is like a Tom Boy who fights with everyone and all the people on the village is scared by her name.

Manju wants to become a dancer and she gets a chance to perform. She always fights with A Taxi Driver played by Rajnikanth who is Manju's best friend. Suraj played by Sunny Deol is a rich guy who always comes late at home.

One day he meets Manju in a bar.....she has no money to drink.......and so Suraj offer her bear to drink. Suraj's father is fed up of his son and wants him to marry. He shows Anju's photo to him and Suraj agrees to his father to marry thinking she is Manju.

Anju's uncle is played by Anupam Kher who is married to Rohini Hattangadi..... his second wife.... her name is Amba. She expects her nephew at her place. Her nephew is played by Shakti Kapoor ...... his name is Balma. He sees Anju and wants to get married to her.

One fine day he tries to rape Anju but she somehow gets escaped. She runs from the house because she hears that after she is 18 they are going to kill her.

Then the real drama starts..... Suraj saves Anju from some robbers and by the time Anju again runs Manju arrives. Manju takes a lift for Suraj as he is hurt badly......... the man sitting in the car is Anju's uncle ........he thinks Manju as Anju.

Anju goes to Manju's place and Manju is in Anju uncle's place. Manju comes to know about the earlier drama over there.....she teaches a lesson to her uncle and Anju gets in love with the taxi driver.

Then as expected some fighting scenes in the end and all well that ends well. Anju gets married to taxi driver and Manju to Suraj. Anju and Manju delivers another twins and they live happily together.

Music, direction and performance by Sridevi is excellent. Howmany ever times u see the movie, u will not get bored..... watch out for the movie.....
