I ve used many Casio models. In school time Baby G , later twincept, sound recrder, tv remote. Now I have got G shock. Its best for rough use. Me nd my freinds ve tested it by playin catch-catch. Though few times it fell, not even a scratch has happened. Didnt try water resistance (nt a gud swimmer). Its my daily wear, I change to other watches only in case of some functions or occation. When I wear it, I wear it throughout except while bathin.
If you are looking for a daily use watch. Go for G shock. Now many models are avaliable in G shock. One tom Cruise used in MI3 is also avaliable for 9k. Only problem I felt is that people dont know much about G shock and mistakes it with the fake ones avaliable for mere 200rs. That is the case wit many branded watches. Because of duped watches, many fail to understand the originality.
Functions in my G shock are
Accuracy at normal temperature: +/- 30 seconds a month
3-hand: Hour, minute, second
Time keeping mode: Hour, minutes, am/ pm, month, day, day of the week
Time system- 12-hour and 24-hour format
Calender system- Full auto calender pre-programmed from 2000-2039
Countdown alarm mode:
Measuring unit- 1 second
Input range- from I minute to 24 hours
Day counter mode: Number of days between current date and target date
Memory capacity- 5counters (target year, month and day)
Target date setting range: January 1, 1940 to December 31, 2039
Other: Day counter alarm (flashes on the display when a target date is reached)
Alarm mode: Daily alarm, hourly time signal
EL backlight: Automatic, manual
Auto Light Switch Function - With this function activated, backlight automatically turns on for two seconds when we keep our hand parallel to ground and tilt it towards us at an angle of 40 degrees.
Battery life: 3yrs under following conditions
-2second backlight operation per day
-20 sec alarm operation per day
