I cannot forget the day I took up holiday scheme from Casa Retreat. Both me and hubby are avid travelers and we like exploring new places. Every time I had asked them to do booking, they say Hotels are all booked and we should give them 1 month time for booking. When you go to the Hotel, Hotel people tell you that half of the rooms are still empty. These people make a fool out of you.
I am travelling to Bangkok tomorrow and since last 1 month I have been visiting them and calling them and they finally sent me the vouchers on the last day. I have gone through such a mental l agony planning this trip. All my trips are pre-planned and I never scramble at the last moment. This time because of them my mood is spoiled even before I begin my vacation.
The hotels offered in Bangkok and Pattaya are of very low standard. So Pattaya Hotel I booked myself. Bangkok Hotel rating on tripadvisor is not good, lets see how it turns out to be once we are there. Please don't invest your hard earned money in such schemes. They actually turn out to be more costlier than your self planned vacations. Plus these people take your money in advance and eat the interest as well.
Update as of 21st June 2012 on the refund that Casa Retreat was supposed to give us as part of our Bangkok Pattaya trip which we did in Feb 2012. Its been 5 months we have not received refund for the extra money we had to pay in the Hotel as they said charges had increased and they will refund us the money. Both me and my husband are working so we cannot go to their office on weekdays and they said, money refund can happen only on weekdays. They said they will courier it. When we checked they said we had couriered it long back. How come we receive every courier, be it from Banks or from other Govt institutions and not from Casa Retreat? We are tired of following up with them so we are filing consumer complaint.
I request all of you to think a million times before putting your money in Casa Retreat. You cant imagine the pain you will go through and what you are signing up for. These days there are so many websites and travel agents who will give you better deals with standard hotels. The hotels Casa Retreat offers are outdated where mostly people wont go or the Hotels are in pathetic state. Please avoid putting your hard earned money in any schemes likes these. We have learnt it the hard way.
