Let me share you my story. I was Found of Carrier, Due to branding and As youalso must be knowing that Company deals in the Air conditioning only, I had abelieve that they can not cheat to people at all. I was one of those personswho also suggested this brand to other people (Friends and relatives) to buyit.
Let me come to the point, my room size is 10x10 in size and we live at firstfloor. Three side wall having attached with other room walls. Only one side isopen to this wall, where I have one window and one door, We get isinstalled at that window.
I purchased this Estrella 1.0 ton window AC with remote and Carrier Stabilizer.It reached to my place and it took three days to install. I have one more AC(Blue Star) in my other room, which I am using, form last 6 years. Next day myfriends to my place in the day time we switched the ac. I showed that ac to myfriends they said Let sit in this room, initially we spend an hour It was notgiving as a cooling effect and we spend another hour it was same like cooler.We try to spend half an hour more finally my friend said it's cooling is notgood lets sit in your another room where I had my blue star ac. We felt that, there was the huge change in cooling in last half hour in that room, where myblue star ac installed.
Next Day I complained to Dealer, he said I will send a guy to check. Theservice engg came next day evening and he said it can not cool that this.If you want more cooling this is not the right ac for you. go any buy 1.5 ton.I said what you mean, then he told me this is not a good one, Company used Plasticparts to save money, some functions at remote are dummy or unwanted.
I got mad I said I want to talk to the manager /owner of your company he saidsure, Next day I scheduled the meeting with manager at my home to show the issues, He did not come next day and he planned to come after 2 days, He tried to convinceme a lot, They was trying to find some fault in my room and asking may roomsize is big or may be you are at third floor, Finally when they did notfound anything he said I will call Company Service Engg person to check infront of you. afere four days that company Engg visited to my place. He wastrying to show me that technical product is performing well. If you want morecooling put one more Ac in your room or scrap the existing one any buy 1.5/2.0ton ac.
I proposed they please change this AC with 1.5 ton I am ready to pay the Extramoney for the upgrade, Both Company and the Dealer denied to change it. I speak tothe service / Sales manager, he said talk to dealer When I went to dealerhe said that talk to Sales Manger. No one supporting me.
Finally this scrap is lying at my one room with no use. Now it is up youfriend if you really want to buy this product, It will be you decision, I sharemy story. Hopefully It may work for some of you.
Some where my experience says that Carrier may be good at the commercial segmentbut they are not good at the home appliances.
