This is a review about Captain's Fitness Junction located in Kandivali (East). I have been going to this gym for 1 year and the fee is around 8500/- for the whole year gym/cardio.
Well here’s my review
1. Firstly about the equipment. The weights are not the best around but manageable
They have all the equipments except smith machine & stretching machine – which today form the basic group of equipments in any gym.
In the cardio section you have elliptical, treadmill and cycling machine.
Well all of them are good except for the treadmills which seems like it may breakdown at any moment
2. The trainers here, at present, are good and know their stuff but they would rather prefer watching TV or chatting with members endlessly or talking on the phone.
I paid around 8500 for a yearly membership and I am not getting even my 10% worth
How can I Say That?
Since earlier I had been to a gym in Kandivali, west (which unfortunately shifted even more farther away from my place & that’s the reason I joined this one)
Well there I got 100% my money’s worth
They took my measurements & checked my weight on the first day and continued to do so at every month’s interval at no extra cost. There my membership fees was only 500/- more.
The trainers/manager there used to motivate me to work hard towards achieving my goal.
Here they simply don’t care. Period.
Once you have taken your membership, they just don’t care about you.
There is no personal effort on the part of the gym staff.
I have seen people coming here dedicatedly and still show no improvements.
Yes, agreed it depends on the individual but the contribution of the gym matters a lot
In my earlier gym If was absent for more than a month they would call me.
Whereas here they just simply don’t care
There is no personal touch on the part of the manager/trainers
They would talk with you about everything under the sun except for you goal
The atmosphere in the gym is extremely dull & lethargic
And yes they should change their name to ‘Captain’s ‘Holiday’ Junction’
Reason: they need a holiday for the most stupid reason
Kuch bhi hua chutti lelo...what about the members? Who cares about the members?
To conclude avoid this gym as much as possible. Join it only and only as the last resort.
One of the most, most unprofessionally managed businesses I have come across
I would so like to see a good gym open in the area and give them a serious run for their money.
This is what having no competition does to you.
