After using HP F370 All in one(Print / Scan / Copy) printer for last four years I'm looking for a printer which initial setup cost must be low as well the paper in& out mechanism must be straight - And here Canon iP3000 perfectly fit the Bill. This Canon printer perfectly suitable for users who occasionally need to print.
As with HP it got great features& served well until it goes into sudden death which happen in my case just after warranty expired, changed motherboard and since then it continue to demand money. Problem like Paper Jam / Stop during Half page print / Non Recognise genuine cartridge to name a few. When it works - the most frustrating part is Paper stuck during complete roll over function as most Multifunction printer do - let me explain the blank paper input and printed paper output made by the same place by turing the paper 180 Degree turnover.
So this time my requirements is clear - Blank paper In from the top - Printed paper Out from the bottom tray - Ditched Scan/Copy function also for complicated internal.and done with HP - So I land in here.
This ip3000 light weight and extremely easy to install& configure(I bet even elderly people can do it) - The most amazing part is canon mange to fit the adopter/brick inside it's body and made a compartment there - which translate into neat& tidy setup but visible from outside/backside which mean easy removable for service need.
+ves:-
Extremely Low Initial Cost - Anybody can give a Try.
Simple Easy to Install& Configure - Print.
Suitable for people who in need occasional print out - Even suitable for Heavy /Power user who got monochrome lesser printer for their primary use, they can consider iP3000 ftfter using HP F370 All in one(Print / Scan / Copy) printer for last four years I'm looking for a printer which initial setup cost must be low as well the paper in& out mechanism must be straight - And here Canon iP3000 perfectly fit the Bill. If it counts Canon provide Linux Driver in their support page as tar ball container - Install& configure it for linux machine matter of 2 mins job.
-ves:-
- Printing cost is on the higher side as Black Cartridges cost 800+ Tri-Color cost 1200+.
So yielding thousands of page from this printer is not a good idea - Stay away Power user. as well replacement of two cartridges at the same time cost more than this printer.
Printer is not silent - make some noise - but OK for me.
Paper will stuck if it not fed properly in to the input tray in certain angle and all the way down .
Canon - Why Why Why don't you consider to make a black version of it instead of
the Milky White which will looks damm Dirty as times passes by.
As of now used for more than a month and print out B&W document with Table& Small Graphics more than 50 pages with stock cartridges and found above pointer. er using HP F370 All in one(Print / Scan / Copy) printer for last four years I'm looking for a printer which initial setup cost must be low as well the paper in& out mechanism must be straight - And here Canon iP3000 perfectly fit the Bill.
