Canon IXUS 75 is my paper weight now. Review on Canon IXUS 75

My camera slipped from just a height of 2  feet. I was stunned that I am unable to switch it on after that. I took to Ashoka timetronics, one and only authorize service centre in Hyderabad, they told that the PCB was gone, which costs 4000 and service charge is 1000 and its worthless to get it done . Now I am using it as paper weight. Warranty doesn't not apply for physical damages it seems. Im leaving my last review as it is. I lost 14000 b4 I haven't printed even 1 snap.

I recently bought canon IXUS 75. I am satisfied with it. Unfortunately I got  it from UK with European warranty (A good for nothing for us). So, I got it for a hefty sum of 14000(with 2 GB SD card and carry case) .

Please dont do this mistake. If at all u want to buy, get it here only..now a days canon is offering it for 17k for 2 years EMI. 700 per month with 1GB Card and carry case .(Offer only on ICICI CREDIT CARD).

The good thing is if u buy in India, you will get international warranty..whereas if u get it from US or UK. you wont get that International Warranty..

Pros:**  7.1 MP, 3" LCD, Sleek in size

Cons:  only 3x zoom., No Image stabilization.Spare battery costs u Rs.2200 and charger costs u Rs.2800.

I recommend CANON SD870 IS(IS for IMAGE STABILIZATION) than this camera..But its available only in US or Japan I guess..The additional features of SD870 are

3.8 X Zoom, 8 MP, IMAGE STABILIZATION, more battery life..

So if u have someone in  US, better to go for SD870 as it is more latest and advanced model to IXUS 75.
