It is a truth that DSLR takes outstanding photos, but most of the time it is difficult to carry BIG DSLRs. Generally for most of the photographers, it is a practice to carry a secondary small camera always for some instant shots. I must say Canon Ixus 220HS is a camera which any one will love to carry along. Lets discuss the features in detail
- Size - Very small/compact, light weight and fits into any small pocket without letting others know. But due to smaller size it is difficult to place it on even smooth surface, it will fall. Tripod needs to be used or hand held.
2 Picture quality - One of the best in its category. Im still using this camera and very satisfied with the picture quality. Though the pictures come out to be little reddish but still clarity, sharpness, details are great. This IXUS range is designed to take great low light images. It is a great camera for low light images. You will be amazed to see the photos taken in twilight. Closeup/macro shots also come out to be very good.
Video - Also very good and smooth. But only drawback is it takes a lot of memory space.
Zoom - Optical zoom, 5x quite good with this small size and meets the requirement.
Conclusion - Though it is hardly available now, but if found it will be a smart decision to buy and keep one. It was launched at around 16K, I got one at 10K and finally it came down to 6K. But small size, metal body, good picture and video quality make this a pocket bomb.
