Had this camera about 9 months now and wanted to use it awhile before doing a review. I upgraded from a 4/3's camera mainly to get more clarity from the photo's I take plus wanting a camera that did well in low light without using a flash, well I got it. The 6D does that and more, the settings are easy to use and navigate thru. Using my tablet via the Wi-Fi to take pictures is a plus during live view especially in awkward angles when the screen on the camera is hard to see. I like to take flower pictures so I sometimes use a tripod, remote and the mirror up to get the most clarity I can and the camera does it. I returned a Nikon D800(more about why at the end of review)to purchase this camera and have not been disappointed in its performance, actually I became more impressed with it the more I've used it. I got it with the 24-105mm L lens and I just got the 70-300mm L IS lens and since I've been shooting with the 70-300 I'm even more impressed, super fast and accurate focusing. The only thing this camera needs to make it perfect is an articulating LCD screen, why Canon doesn't put it on the full frame is beyond me. Us old guys can't get down on the ground like we used to so being able to tilt the screen is a blessing. The Nikon, I did a lot of research before buying the Nikon but somehow I missed the fact that any camera in that price range would NOT have built in IR, I assumed they all did. Not the D800, you have to buy the add on before you can use a remote with it. Not only that but they put the mirror up setting on the same dial as the timer so you couldn't use them both at the same time. Now, if I wanted to take a vibration free picture with the mirror locked up I couldn't unless I used a remote which I couldn't unless I forked out quite some money for an IR receiver and remote. For a camera in that price range I should not have to do that, plus this receiver attached to the front of the camera body and would be waiting to be damaged. No thanks. Anyway, If you're thinking of going full frame get the 6D, I love mine and you won't be disappointed.
