The Canon EOS50D SR sits firmly middle of canon current dslr lineup. The 50d replaces the popular 40d by adding some improvements. I realize that I may be in the minority when I say this, I find the 50d body to feel fantasic, the general control layout is horrible. Some issues are flat default image processing, and overly complicated menus. 50D body is Heavy like a lead brick. Live view interface not very intuitive and AF accuracy not consistent.
