I own this for the past 3 months now and I love it. I upgraded from my other favourite 300D, which by the way is a great performer in itself. Sporting a 8.2 megapixel APS-C sized sensor, this workhorse is capable of giving great pictures time after time. Coming from Canon, it is no surprise that this right up there in terms of quality. Throughout internet you would it being compared with the very successful EOS 20D and rightly so, it is an important yet subtle upgrade to a great performer.
Key features which makes this special are:
Large 2.5" LCD
Spot Metering
Picture Style
Advanced Noice Reduction algorithms even at high ISO like 800 and 1600
Choice of drive speed 5fps or 3fps and a larger buffer
100, 000 shot shutter durability
ISO selection in 1/3 stops
Almost instantaneous start up time (0.15s)
Retains all that 20D had to offer
So, if you are serious amateur or a budding professional, this is the camera you would love to have. It is a very capable piece of equipment.
