Canon believes in delighting you, A570 IS is just one of them.You will not find a single thing out of place, if you are an ameture, the camera will do everything for you and give delightful picture. And if you care to be a little creative and would not mind experimenting, you can spend hours and come out with delightful results.
It is a full functional list of buttons and menu. It may be important to familiarize yourself with the options so you get a good shot every time.It has automatic feature for all scenarios, like kids and pets who tend to move a lot, based on lighting conditions like, cloudy, indoor, indoor and bulb v/s tubelight adjusts the output.
It also allows you shoot movies on 60 fps, for the uninitiated, this allows you to watch things in slow motion and with amazing clarity.You can control most of the finer aspects more than a normal camera even with auto asist aiding you with above normal results.The complete manual option is completely different thing altogether, I would not advise using that till you are familiar with complete functioning of the camera.
This camera comes with DIGIC III processor that picks the faces from the crowd, how useful is that, imagine you seeing the pole or the chair well focussed that the face and it is a very big irritant.
The word IS mean Image Stabilisation, it does its work it is supposed to do, I have tried some other camera's and I know how useful that is. Trust me it helps when you want it the most, the expressions which you would have lost in the blur and amazingly clear. Remember the picture on front page newspaper which catches the crickets excited, you can aim for shots close to that. Plus look at it this way getting things when you are part of excitement does not give you the luxury of waiting for that shot with a tripod and things like that, you have to aim and shoot and....preview. that is a big relief.
Why do I jugde this camera to be the best?
For roughly Rs 8, 000 onwards to Rs14, 000 depending on whom you buy it from, you get features which are loaded on cameras costing Rs 45, 000 onwards. Trust me most of the camera's some of them from the IXUS if canon would not have features this camera boasts of.
I would upload some of the pictures very soon, but you can see that for yourself.All this is too good or am I missing something, Yes, one the LCD or view finder, is pretty poor, but who cares, as long as it delivers good quality pictures which is what I preserve I am more than happy with the results.
The size is a big larger than some of the more expensive IXUS family or Casio or Sony for the matter, for who said that credit card camera's are best. The larger size allows you to hold the camera firmly, this is more important for me.
Do I want more, yes I do, but I am clearly not willing to pay 45, 000 for Canon SLR range or Nikon SLR's they are the ultimate toys, but that can wait till have time to do more photography, currently I am slogging.
