Story:

Call of the Wild was a good book about the main character, Buck, who lived at Judge Miller's Santa Clara Valley Estate. While there, he became the "head dog" or the leader or the group. Then when world came out about gold in Alaska, Manuel, the gardener, took Buck to the train station and exchanged Buck for money. Buck plus many other dogs where transported by shipd to Alaska. But then the dogs became fighting and their life became savage.

Many dogs were hit and tortured on the ship and Spitz, the lead dog of the sled group, took enjoyment out of their pain which made Buck not like him anymore than he already did. He learned how to survive in the bitter wilderness by knowing what dogs where approachable and how to stay alive on less food then he is used to. Being in this wilderness he became more of a wolf than a dog. Buck became the new leader of the sled team and then they no longer worked as a team. Then they arrived at Skaguay and were sold to Hal, Charles, and Mercedes. They wanted to get money from Alaska. Some of the dogs had died on the trip and because of that, the other dogs had to carry 120 pounds more. The team them wandered into John Thorton's camp and John, noticing the mistreatment of Buck, kept Buck and ordered the rest of the team to leave. After a while a relationship grew between dog and master. When Buck returned to the camp, he came to find that the Yeehats invaded and destroy the campsite.

Along with the destruction, John was dead. Buck returned to the camp the next morning to mourn over his loss. Buck then realized that he is now part of the wild and he joins a pack and becomes the leader. The Yeehats still tell teh story of a ghost dog who kills anyway man it comes across.
