Think twice. Review on Calcutta Hospital - Alipore - Kolkata

Calcutta Hospital is one of the oldest and most reputed hospital in kolkata( alipore) .There is a competitive team of expert doctors who deals basically with all ailments and surgeries.I have two totally opposite experience in regard to this hospital.

My sister had an appendix operation here and I spend lot of time with her.I found everything to be well organized with proper care and comfort.But recently one of my reliable staff had a very bad experience at this place.He told everyone over there is corrupted and manipulative.

Around 12-13 days back his 12 yrs son expired over here.He said that his son was already dead before reaching the hospital, but hospital's faculties consoled him and said everything wil be fine.he just need to be kept on ventilator for 2-3 days.He was asked to fulfil all the formalities and had to give 50000 rupees immediately.

Later a doctor asked him to arrange another 2lakh rupees which was very difficult for a poor person.But one of his qualified relative told him to meet his son once forcibly as they were not allowed.When he saw his son he found him already dead which made him shocked as few minutes before only he was told that his son is recovering. Now he could analyse the situation well.The hospital was just making money by playing with the emotions of a poor person.Further while discharging his son's dead body he had to pay another 60000 rupees.If this has happened intentionally then it is sad to say that India is still captured by corruption.I request the higher authorities to look into the matter and to take proper action.
