I love this commercial, I really love it. I mean the way, the guys play their parts is really cool. And Pappu, Pappu ka tho jawab nahin!

Comericals in my view have always been those teensy wensy breaks we get, when we get glued to the picture tube. And when meaningless and senseless commercials start up, it gets a tad irritating. But Cadbury and their commercials always had a special place in my heart. Be it that commercial where a guy picks up a piece of chocolate that slips from his hands, or be it the one in which an elderly couple sharing a chocolate, to Pappu and friends, I always liked their commercials. Their commercials have that touching feeling on one side and the joy of happiness on the other, and all will surely agree that their chocolates also taste real good.

Look at this commercial for example, a couple of guys walk in, take their chocolate bars and pass the tab on to Pappu. The reason, Pappu paas ho gaya! And then you have a happy Amitabh, yelling out the same and in comes Pappu. A rotund, semi bald character who must be hitting the late forties or early fifties in age and guess what he just passed his 12 th grade. Now Way To Go Man. Pappu Paas Ho Gaya!

The commercial, might not tickle that funny bone much, it might not get you rolling on the floor laughing, but it surely will give you one helluva smile when you see it. Now thats how commercials are meant to be, especially when advertising a product like a chocolate. What I mean to say is the underlying priciple of advertising has been followed. About a year ago, I read a review by another MSian, it was a revu titled ''KISS'', by ''Ravidixit'' ( and incidently it was after reading this revu, that I started off at MS.) and the idea he portrayed was apt. KISS = Keep It Short Stupid.

And thats exactly what this commercial does. It keeps the commercial, Short and Stupid!

Look guys am not trying to piggy back on someone else's opinion, but what I came across in that review, applies very truely for this commercial also. And thats the reason I liked it.............. ''Hurrah!!!! Pappu Paas Ho Gaya''.

Reference Used In The Review: A review titled KISS by Ravidixit, about the Close Up commercial.
