As it melted into her mouth, he nervously licked his lips. His mouth following the trail every time she picked it up to take a new bite with her pearly white teeth. Her eyes were half –closed with pleasure and her lips formed an O. She was lost in a fantasy world and he found a real pleasure just watching her enjoy…..He always knew about the female fetish for melt-in-the-mouth things and gooey centers.

Finally he had conquered the most difficult part…

Another bite and she seemed to have shot on the moon….Yeah yeah she knew that she had to watch that 34-26-34 figure of hers, but then this has always been her weakness : How by just taking a bite chased away the blues! And she was feeling a little blue earlier , but now she was in sweet heaven. This one will surely have to last for long…..as she batted her lashes towards him….

Cadburys’ Five Star always had been her Achilles' heel, and somehow she could resist all the temptations but could never stand a chance in front of that shining Gold wrapper. The trademark wrapper of that favorite chocolate bar of hers with melt-in-mouth caramels inside. So many brands and Cadburys’ itself tried to get diverse by introducing new products or differing tastes, but she still had a thing for the Good old Five-Star.

~Foremostly she hated the ones which made a crunch sound and appeared more like a Dry Fruit Barfirather than a chocolate

~ Her milk tooth had been long lost and hence anything which remotely tasted like Milk made her feel nauseated

~ She had no interest in biscuits, crispies or anything of that family

~ Her tastes buds had not matured to fall in for the bitter tasting dark Swiss chocolates.Five Star for her carried a "come to home feeling"

Though Cadburys’s had also introduced the new crispies one with fancy advertisements promoting it, she never fell for them . Coz when it came to her sweet tooth she only trusted her good old instincts. And these instincts still believed in the credibility of Five Star. None other could dare stand in front of it!

In chocolates Five Star was everything she could ever ask for.

~The sweet content was appropriate, she neither feels queasy after having it nor guilty on sinning.

~The17 gms and 33 gms bar , being the usual net weights makes her completely believe in the fact that it would never do much to add on to her weight.

~Priced at Rs Five for the smaller bar and Rs Ten for the bigger one, it is quite reasonable. It never makes a dent in her pocket or the pocket of her suitor. He probably preferred her coz this was the only demand she had.

~The chocolate never requires any refrigeration, unlike others which melt at the first sight of heat. Five star unusually maintains its consistency

~ The taste had not varied a bit in so many years.

~ The caramel centers always tease her taste buds till date.

Her ever inquisitive nature always makes her read the ingredients too which spell out, Sugar Cocoa solids, Cocoa Butter, Milk and Emulsifiers. Did she miss out on the Caramel?...She can’t otherwise who will assume the role of Melt-in-the-mouth!

For her Cadburys’ was just a synonym for Chocolate and despite the presence of other brands in the market she trusted it the most. Maybe because five star was associated with the brand or it was the other way round but other brands like Nestle could never lure her for any of its chocolate products. Though Nestle tried hard to introduce a brother/sister to every product of Cadburys (Bar one as a substitute for Five Star), she somehow could never relate to it. For the simple reason they never tasted the same. The balance was not achieved rightly. Either it was too sweet or the caramel was too less or whatever. But she is absolutely biased towards Five Star.

She remembered reading this few lines about the chocolate and knew after tasting others that this was true. Cadburys’ claimed the fact that:

Launched in 1969 as a bar of chocolate that was hard outside with soft caramel nougat inside, Cadbury 5 Star has re-invented itself over the years to keep satisfying the consumers taste for a high quality & different chocolate eating experience.( https://cadburyindia.com/brands/choco2.asp).

As she finishes relating her story, and delves on the last piece, her ruby-red lips again form a cupid. He wonders that is that chocolate which has made her suddenly bright or probably his mind is playing tricks on him…..

The thought melts in his mind and he reaches out…..Maybe he might get a few shreds of leftovers!
