Cadbury Chocolates are my favourite Chocolates. They were the first Company to develop a way to make the Chocolate Drink into powder. This means it they can make Candies and Cocoa Drinks. Other Companies followed their lead. Cadbury Milk Bars are the oldest Chocolate Bars in the World. The Dairymilk Bar was introduced in 1905.
MAKING THE BAR:
Beans from the Cacao are use to make Chocolate and cocoa. The beans vary in colour from light brown to purple. They must be cleaned, hulled, roasted, blended and grinded.
They add this mixture to Cocoa Butter, Chocolate Liquor, Milk Powder and Sugar.
PACKAGING:
The Dairymilk Chocolate bars come in a purple, gold and white paper wrap. In Canada we can buy miniature Bars, (one Square) to huge Bars, (it's great for a Family to Share).
THE DAIRYMILK BAR:
When you take your first bite you will taste the Cocoa and the Milk. You will sense that it is very fresh and won't see any white spots on the Bar, (this tells be the Bar is stale).
The balance of bitter and sweet is perfect. I never chew it. I hold it in my mouth to keep the flavour with me as long as I can. It drip, drip, drips down my throat. Then I take another bite and the process begins again.
THE HISTORY OF CHOCOLATE:
''The Ancient Greeks made their chocolate from the Theobroma Cacao Tree, (Theobroma means ''food for the gods in Greek). This bean contains over 300 items including cocoa butter and sugar.
The Aztec Indians using cocoa beans in the preparation of the royal drink called ''chocolatl'', (meaning warm liquid).
When the Emperor Montezuma ruled Mexico he drank at least 50 portions each day.
When he was entertaining his Spanish guests he served ''chocolatl'' in large gold Goblets.
When the Spanish conquered Mexico, (1519), Cortez he was a guest of Montezuma. He found the drink to bitter and decided to use Sugar Cane to make it sweeter.
The new drink was taken back to Spain and it became very popular. Spain decided to export the drink but kept the formula secret.
Some Spanish Monks told the rest of Europe how to process the cocoa beans.''
THE CADBURY CHOCOLATES THAT I LOVE:
1) Dairy Milk is made with light milk chocolate. You can buy two types of Bars. Today I only eat the one that is made of pure milk chocolate. The other Bar has Fruit and Hazelnuts in it. Before I developed an allergy to nuts I ate this Bar a lot.
2) My favourite is Caramilk Chocolate Bars. These are made of 3 squares across and depending on the size of the Bar at least 6 square long. Each square it filled with Carmel and you can select if you want the chocolate to be dark or light.
3) Crunchie is made with sponge toffee and is covered with a light chocolate. I like it because it is crunchy and I can eat it slowly.
THEIR OTHER CHOCOLATE BARS:
1) Crispy Crunch is made with flakes of peanuts and chocolate. Even before I was allergic to nuts I didn't care for this Bar. It is my Husbands Favourite.
2) Mr Big is made with dark chocolate, vanilla wafers, caramel, rice crispy and roasted peanuts. I have tasted it but I didn't care for it. My youngest Grandson loves this Bar.
3) Wonderbar is made with milk chocolate, caramel, rice crispy and roasted peanuts. I loved this Bar until I became allergic to the nuts.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS:
I find I like the creamy texture of Cadbury Chocolates. I eat Chocolate when I am very upset. For some reason it soothes me. Hot Cocoa brings back wonderful memories of my Childhood.
I have read that the British Diabetic Association has said, ''Chocolate can change your moods because it has caffeine, (this helps to reduce panic attacks), dopamine, (helps your brain cells), a Chemical called DARP-32, (this gets your hormones moving an makes Woman want to have sex) and amino acid tryptophan, (that increases everyone’s urge to have sex). Chocolate that is eaten in moderation can be part of a healthy diet. There are 500 calories per 100g of chocolate and 30% of that is fat.'' Enjoy a piece of Chocolate once in a while but don't over do it.
