This is one of the best TV shows of all time. It explores the field of police forensic evidence investigation in Las Vegas by the CSI unit.
All about murder - why, how and by whom. That is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. For the last 5 years, CSI has never wavered in its path and has been a commercial and critical success. It spawned two spinoffs (CSI: Miami and CSI:New york). There is a fine ensemble cast who never fail to deliver. The storytelling is so compelling that the viewer is left fascinated by the investigative process to the point that they're unfazed by intimate autopsies and internal (i.e., digitally animated) views of traumatized flesh, bone, and other parts of the human body.
Over-confident villains, slick direction and humane heroes. That's CSI.
The head of the team is Gil Grissom (William Petersen) who is a guide to his team. You have other characters played by Marg Helgenberger, a former stripper; Gary Dourdan, George Eads, a workaholic and delicious Jorja Fox and their very likable chief detective Paul Guilfoyle.
From its initial airing in 2000, the series has evolved. New characters have joined the cast and reshuffling in the team has made the unit look more stronger and more precise in their execution of their forensic investigation.
A lot of the human element, the less said, the better. Watch it. And the other two (Miami and New York) too. It's great entertainment.
