You will get a call from a credit card company and they will promise a credit card with great features. Then, you will apply for the card with all your documentary proofs. Few weeks later you would not receive any information or card from the bank.
When your patience runs out, you will follow up with the DSA of the card company. Then, they will pretend to check and tell you that the application was turned down due to low CIBIL score. They will not tell you before the application that your CIBIL score will be checked. They will advise you to check with CIBIL online and get a report.
Then, you go online and apply for a cibil score. You will pay Rs.470 and then expect the report to pop up, after authentication. the question is why don't they authenticate and then charge Rs. 470. Also, it will be specified that pop-blocker should be turned off. But, it is only to harass and put you to unnecessary doubts later. They will also say that a report will be send to your email id and address. They will not send any confirmatory email to you to verify or re-enter the site for re-print of report.
How can CIBIL be allowed to compile information from banks, if they cannot keep their own commitments. This has happened to me and I don't want others to be trapped into this and get harassed by following up with a number listed in Mumbai( which works Mon-Fri 10 am -6 pm) .Don't get trapped by CIBIL
Suggestion: Avoid new credit cards, ask for additional credit limit if you need.
There is no need for CIBIL score if you are not applying for a loan. Take loan from existing service provider and check if they will need a CIBIL Score for existing customers.
