I happen to sell my car through Cars24.com recently. As per their staff, this how the business works: Customers take their car to one of their physical sites for inspection and sale Cars24 evaluates and quotes the base resale price They have 1000+ listed partners(second hand car dealers) who will then bid for the car based on inspection report and base price quoted Customer gets the price from highest bid. This bid window is open only for 30 minutes Cars24 does not charge anything to the customer They make immediate payment to the customer Customer and Cars24 then sign various documents and RTO transfer forms. From that point onwards, Cars24 is responsible for anything that happens to the car The car will stay in one of their warehouses till an actual buyer is found
