Day1 Afternoon 3pm

I reach the Bengaluru Bannerghatta Road office for inspection. The executive(lets name him xy) greets me. They check my docs(I had purchased the vehicle in Pune, then shifted to Hyderabad and then to Bengaluru). The inspection guy takes me with the car, rides it and gives his feedback.
This takes 2 hours not 30 minutes as they claim. I show them the Karnataka RC, valid insurance, Karnataka road tax receipt, original invoice and two keys. They give me a quote which I agree. I am told that the VAHAN and Service checks are pending so they will hold 18k and release the amount within 7pm.
Its 7pm still no money is transferred. I call xy at 9pm asking about transfer, he says he will check and update.
Day 2 morning

I call xy at 10am, he says some problem with bank server so none of the transfers took place. He promises to update by 12pm. I call him @12pm he asks me tax receipt image which I send him.
Now comes the fun part. He sends me an image shown below where the operations guy calculated the road tax that should have been paid. The calculation is as follows.
Invoice price 3.7L
Car is 5 yrs old so depreciation is 5k
Current price is 3.65k:-)
So road tax that should have been paid 51k

This is the tax I paid and Bengaluru RTO accepted and took from me.
Day 2 afternoon till late evening

I ask them to re-check. They say that they will cross check with RTO and ask me to wait till 6pm.
At 6pm I get a call that they were not able to verify the tax paid and hence will withhold 10k. When I mentioned that I'll take my vehicle back. They happily agree. So finally I get my vehicle back.
Points to note

1) Irrespective of having the original docs they do not believe the customer.
2) The original RC has tax paid amount written behind the card.
3) VAHAN checks showed all the valid data and still they did not believe in their own process.
4) The stupid operations guy came up with his own crazy calculation where a car depreciated by 5k in 5 years.
5) Even after I pointed the mistake no one was ready to rectify it or listened to me.
6) In the whole process they kept telling that they will transfer part of money which I agreed to but they didn't.
So guys please take care while dealing with these people. They might be good for some but for me they were horrible.
