This is a small mortgage banking operation where we have files that average about 250 pages, mixed legal and letter. I checked out several brands, Bell & Howell, Fujitsu and the Canon really won me over.
What first impressed me was how quiet it is. Compared to the others, this thing can be in a cubicle and it is less annoying than a laser printer that is printing at full-tilt. Quieter than a typewriter. I can't believe how it'knows' when it is pulling two pages, then stops. I have no fear of missing a page in the scan. The company I bought it from told me to scan at 200 dpi. I thought that was too low, but after seeing the results, they are correct, you can work very well with the images that come from 200 dpi.
We have been using the scanner for 3 months, don't know what we were doing before we got it. Only complaint is that our shredding bill has more than doubled since we got it.
