When buying a assembled pc what components should one go for puts a newbie(normal user) in a dilemna.when going for a pc what one must understand is how much money is he willing to spend, we will go step by step

lets take the processor first

1)if you are a game freak and want a fast pc go for intel

p-4 I am warning you over here, though AMD seems cheaper it has got some work to do still, sometimes it hangs and it gets heated up too quickly to an extent that sometimes the fan cannot make up for it, well if looking for a cheaper option go for a celeron procesor not a p-3, remember celeron comes at a much less value then a p-3 with almost same speed and better stability.

2)Motherboard:->Asus makes the first call(best and costlier then everyone else in the family, nobody competes them yet)Then come intel's original motherboard, if u are willing to spend around 7000 for orignal motherboard(then you must be a game freak and love having good 3-d resolutions) otherwise there are good cheaper alternatives to it.

you can always look for chipsets as the other alternative though many people recomend intel's chipset, I would stand by via' chipset with aligator board(it's really a gem at that low price).

3)Graphic & Sound card:-> Most of the boards will have inbuilt graphic and sound cards, but again gamers will tend to go for that extra something so here if u are willing to spend 15000 Rs. for a graphic card then G force4 is the best on this earth but if you are a game freak and little less budget then go for either ati rage and ati raedon, they are second to none after G force 4.otherwise inbuilt graphic cards with 16 mb of memory is good enough for any purpose

going for a sound card with those extra features go for creative vaibra really a marvel

4)Monitor:->samsung and LG both are good but samsung comes with 3 year warranty and a good service to back with.

5)Hard disk:->seagate is the best option in normal one if looking for good hard disk speed go for seagate baracudda

well this was my own opinion of the computer market as I am also into this business, I would like to hear comments and suggestions on this topic
