What is the the most important component in a computer? It is not the Processor, Motherboard, RAM or Graphics card. The Vital component is the PSU. Power Supply Unit.
This is the component which supplies power to all other components. The components like processor, Motherboard depend on exact power.
But this is also the most neglected component. People choose good processor, motherboards, RAMs and then cut cost by choosing a cheap Power Supply.
A Cheap power supply leads to the failure of other components like Motherboards. I was having problems with my Motherboards. They were failing often. Got them replaced under warrantee. Then I starting wondering why the Motherboards were failing.
It was the cheap Power Supply Unit. I replaced it with a good one and no problems afterwards.The failure of most of the components could be attributed to Bad power Supply Unit. It fails often and people replace it. But what one forgets is the effect of the bad Power Supply Unit on other components. The Power supply Unit supplies higher voltage to a component and it is affected. You will never notice it.
So buy a Good Power Supply Unit. Unfortunately none of the PSUs manufactured in India are upto standard. They are not tested.I have seen that most buyers tend to cut cost when choosing the PSU. A cost cutting here leads to component failure and general unreliability.
Remember that all the components of a computer depend on exact voltage being supplied d to it.
