Absence of Regulators in India.Gurgaon in trouble.
May 12, 2009 10:10 AM 9320 Views

The absence of regulators in Gurgaon has caused end users/investors a great deal of trouble. Take the example of the central park 1 property in Gurgaon beautifully built by mahindras and the bakshis(making central park 2 now in gurgaon now).

When the 14 acre property was offered they enclosed the club as part of the deal with a one time charge. This landwoner, now a builder of central park 2, on handing over the property to buyers made them sign away their club 4 years later when the rates went sky high. This was like pointing a gun on ones head while standing on the edge of a cliff. After much protest and court case(consumer court bought by the bakshis)the club was still not handed over but a monthly charge started for the residents.

This doesnt end. The main entrance area which had the sample apartment was to house a tennis court. But till date the area is in possession of the bakshis who said they would build a creche are now tearing it down to give the prime entrance area of some 2 acres for building god knows what commercial area. Can he do that? The Mahindras had long back walked out and left us in the dumps.

Though other properties like uniworld spa and emaar are facing recession problems and not been handed over NO ONE has done what the central park bakshis have done. They are liars and cheats and there is no redressal aginst them for backing out of their promise. I HOPE THIS SENDS A MSG TO FUTURE BUYERS TO BEWARE OF SUCH UNSCRUPLOUS BUILDERS AND HOPE THE GOVERNMENT COMES UP WITH A REGULATOR LIKE IN THE TELECOM FIELD.
