I have a strong observation about Yash Raj camp and T-Series, since than Adita Chopra and Bhushan Kumar got the leadership the theme and quality of production has seriously gone down. Though there is not much to talk about Bhushan Kumar and T-Series but as a movie follower I can have some views about Yash Raj camp. Since so many year barring few ones the quality of story and production has been seriously bad. One specific thing which I feel strange is their love about justifying theft. Dhoom series and Bunty aur Babli is a string case in point here. The entire Dhoom series justifies theft as a passion and art. Strangest was Dhoom-3 where someone took a loan from bank and when the bankers recovers the amount from property the son of defaulter loots the bank and even justifies the loot. Wow! What a script.
Same is the case with Bunty aur Babli, the duo got justified working as a con and even got a franchise holder. Someday they will have franchise all over the world and we will here Bunty aur Bubbly became President of USA by forged documents and fake votes and the world is celebrating it! What a degradation to Indian Cinema.
Anyways, as we are here to write and read movie reviews let’s do that. So, to begin with Saif and Rani Mukherkji. Saif ali khan was totally useless and his expression less act did not contribute anything to the movies. Either he did not understand the role or he wanted movie to be a flop. Abhishek Bacchan at least had some entertainment value. Directors must understand that Rani Mukherji has aged and she is not that beautiful or sexy or glamorous as she is depicted in the movie or there must be Boss ka pressure on Director that Boss’ wife must look beautiful in an case so he tried a lot of deep necks. Let me mention here I liked the way Rani Mukherji performed in Both Mardani Movies. Pankaj Tripathi is an amazing actor but misused in the movie, Useless comedy and bad jokes is not something he should do. Siddhanth tries his skills but Sharvari was almost zero with expressions. Movie makers must understand now that actresses are there to act not keep smiling and giving kinky gestures all the time. Music I did not pay much attention on because I already knew that there would be some same trademark Punjabi style dance numbers which you cannot understand and which will be forgotten unlike masterpieces like earlier Yash Raj Musicals.
There are very few incidents where you feel to laugh and the ending was the biggest joke. Strangely the police officer who ask B-B-1 to catch B-B-2 relies on a useless story played by both and let them go away, it was so like that in Rab ne Bana di Jodi Anushka Sharma does not recognize Shahrukh Khan in another avatar.
I am sure they will have Bunty aur Babli-3 also because when seriously non connected Jannat can have sequel why a movie at least having them cannot have 10 sequels. So, friends be ready for more disasters. Till than wait for RRR to release.
