The movie is best for the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes. Rest is all yaaaawn. Sonakshi looked manly as usual and with an insignificant role. Vidyut Jamwal’s entry in the second half as a policeman does add some value. The fight sequences were good.
The film with backdrop of political system of Uttar Pradesh and the use of mafia by politicians and businessmen is nothing new. You have seen it all before and Bullet Raja does not offer you anything different. While in the beginning it did start off well and looked promising but loses its grip in the middle then comes back on track with some suspense, but overall it fails to awe you.
Jimmy Shergill as a postman and Saif Ali Khan as an unemployed youth become political commandos for Raj Babbar - a politician. Gulshan Grover is a businessman who finances political parties in return for successfully carrying out his illegal businesses. Ravi Kishan is a sharp shooter who also has a significant role in bits and pieces. The song Tamanche pe disco appeared nonsensical.
While the movie could have been made better it ultimately leaves you dissatisfied.
