I had all possible dreams of owning a thunderbird and finally I made it. I am the lone rider of my bike and exactly after one and a half years later all kinds of troubles started. First Cam Wheel noise started and so far the company is able to solve it (The Company made 2 replacements). Invariably every Thunderbird owner is aware of the Cam wheel issue and replacement is inevitable.
Finally, last month my bike seized in the middle of the road and now I had to change the whole Piston, Cylinder set. Also now they discovered that the Crank assembly needs to change and the connecting rod is shaky. Huh…. I do not know whom and what to blame.
Manufacturing defects, unprofessional service. In my experience the quality of the spares are very bad and every time the dealer says they are trying out with several metals and I feel we are testing their product at our cost of customers. It is a good bike and there is no compromise but, 'Is Thunderbird model is still on Product improvement from Royal Enfield.??!!!!! '. Do we have to wait for the final product...How long we have to wait.???
