Like other Bullet lovers even I used to do admire it whenever I got an opportunity. It could be a parking lot or a traffic signal junction, I just used to love watching it and listening to the pleasant and the royal exhaust beat. Though I had initially set my eyes on theRE Electra 5S, after a lot of research on these mean machines, test rides of current models and the feedback I received from the fellow Bulleteers I finally decided to purchase a Thunderbird(with DB and ES)

The major factors which influenced my decision to go for a Thunderbird was the latest technology incorporated in this machine like the Aluminium engine block, CV carburettor, TCI ignition system and the Royal looks ofcourse.

The Thunderbird is a great bike and gives you a great feeling when you ride it. You can feel the raw power of the bike at the slight turn of the accelerator.

Though it is priced on the higher side(a li'l over a Lakh of rupees) it certainly is a grand automobile to own.

Well I have been using this bike for almost six months now. It has been great experience though there were some initial problems like the ignition system which stopped working and handle lock which got jammed( had to be broken to replace it with a new one). The quality of the bike is actually bad, but then riding it gives you a lovely experience which keeps you going. It gives a mileage of 35 KPL here in bangalore traffic. Could not check the mileage on highways due to my tight schedule at work of late. Will update the information as soon as I take my bike on a long ride.

*Second Update.

* Well, after riding this bike for some time I started feeling that this bike is not meant for a guy like me with a height of 5'8'. I used to feel it is too bulky for me and did not suit my physique when I rode it.

What next after such a thought hit my mind.  I decided to get rid of it.

But what to buy next after selling the T'bird.  Now that I have aleady used a beastly bike .I realised it has got to be another model of Royal Enfield which suits my personality . This time around it was Electra which met my requirement. Just went ahead and sold my T'bird and purchased Electra 5S.

Now I feel it is a perfect bike for me. I have been riding the electra for almost 6 months. This is a great bike which comes with a great exhaust beat. But one thing bad about it is low fuel efficiency.

It is only around 30 kpl. This is 20% lesser compared to its Aluminium engine siblings.

But no regrets owning this bike, as I feel nice riding around on it. Another thing is that whenever you stop by in a traffic signal I find atleast a couple of motorists admiring my Bullet and sometimes even enquiring about the bike's mileage, cost, performance .etc.

*Update.

*Well this time around after being a bullet rider for almost an year now I have only one thing to say to all those folks who are biking enthusiasts ’’you should own this bike at least once in your life time’’
