I booked a red electra on 10th july 14 and got it delivered on 25th sept 14. . The reason why Electra is best is because of its sheer comfort factor, all terrain handling, riding comfort, light weight, comfortable seats, old looks, and lastly its the base model of re called "Bullet" which people still recollect. re is know for bullet and not for tb and classic. If you read re history, it is this model(electra which gave commercial and international success for re). . I have recently been to goa and clocked 1700 km in one trip and touched a top speed of 130 kmph, and the bike was dam stable. I felt I could go further, but you know our india roads. my friends wmorpheushuman were on tb and classic just could not be comfortable and neither was I when I rode their bikes. and strangely, they too felt electra is the perfect bike in all aspects and riding comfort .
they had to spend additional 5 - 10 k to make their bikes comfortable( like seat handle etc), but electra neeeds no additional money as its comfortable by default.
if you have a family with kids or expecting kids . electra is the only bike which can comfortably accommodate a small family. but classic and tb are ment for only 2 people.
Guyz, Do not bother about electra tyres or head lights or any of its features . they are perfectly right for any indian riding conditions.
Ask any bullet mechanic and at the service centres, and they wil tell you that Electra is the best re bike.
even a road side mechanic can repair a electra, but not a classic or tb. so, dont go by the looks of classic and make a wise decision with electra.
