Buenos Aires means ''Good Air'' and in a land of Argentina (Silver) I wonder how goo dth air is!
But Buenos Aires is a very upscale place. Fashion is sverything. People of Argentina (especially Buenos Aires) feel that thay are not really Latin AMerican but rather European! Which is so wrong!!!
They look down on people who are not dressed ''as per their standards'' which is so very self-righteous. They also suffer might I add from this superiority complex which si looked down by most neighbours of South-america!
Most of its neighbours have disputes with this country. (Well again which neighbour apart from Canada does not suffer this!)
On the bright side It a colonial city so has a lot of beauty, great music and dance places. Its very modern but you have to take care of pick-pockets like any other big city! Including Bombay!!!
If youre here as a tourist you mihgt enjoy it... for extendays stays I would recommend it!
Argentina on the contrary is a beautiful (''geographically''). It has great glaciers and snow capped mountains in the south (artifact of being in teh southern hemisphere!) :) and beautiful wild life! A must see if you go there!
I would personally spend as little time in Beunos Aires and more around in the country side, but then again only in Buenos Aires can you hail a cab!:) so for luxuries/amenities thsi is the only place (or one of a few).
