Men don't cry. Review on Brokeback Mountain Movie

I am sure you have heard that saying. Men don't cry. Well think again, anyway the movie that I decided to see was Brokeback mountain. I had heard a lot about the two homosexual cowboys and I must admit I was a little curious about the whole thing. Since we are part of a society where Homosexuality is taboo and the mere mention of it raises eyebrows. I feel the movie is a break through in the same effort. The movie is the story of two homosexual cowboys who like many homosexuals in our country are ''Happily Married''. The outset is the rugged life of the cowboys and how two lonely money develop a homosexual relationship alone on Brokeback mountaing. Both decide that they will never meet again and that the relationship was a one night thing. However even as they are both parting ways. Both of them burst out crying. A really touching scene. I must admit the sight of two men kissing on screen is rather unsettling for straight guys like me but you have to admit the story is brilliant none the less. The story is really about the various social issues that gay men face in the macho state of texas and how they are hiding in thier closets even though america is considered an advanced society. Some of the scenes in the movie are really touching. The direction of the movie is brilliant and the director has spared no movie reel when it comes to displaying lovely landscapes and epecially the scenes that show case brokeback mountains vastness are brilliant. All in all the movie is bold to say the least. I cannot remember another movie where men were shown displaying thier affection for each other so openly. I think everyone should watch the movie just once so that they can appreciate the varoius issues that gay men face. The movie is really a love story of two men where one is always demanding commitment and the other always avoiding it. The end result is hearbreaking and if anyone who has experience heartbreak can realte to it. As always no revealing the plot but hope I can display the gist of the movie none the less.
