Disclaimer: Mouth Shut did not add this brand , but I just had to tell you about them. So I know this is under the incorrect heading!
I happened upon some great new cookies while shopping in a little specialty store here in Florida.
They're called Eddyleon Originals. They (as far as I know) come in three varieties. Chocolate Pudding Cookies , Raspberry Pudding Cookies and Strawberry Pudding Cookies.
Each cookie is about 3/4 ounce of soft graham cracker covered with a dark rich chocolate and ''injected'' with just the right amount of either creamy delicious chocolate pudding or raspberry pudding filling.
Each little square cookie holds the flavor of a complete dessert! Just sweet enough and just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth.
They come in a 10 Oz. box that contains 12 cookies for $1.89 (US)
Each cookie square contains 134 calories
8 grams of fat
2 mg of cholesterol
44 mg of sodium
15 grams of carbohydrates
13 grams of sugar
1 gram of protein
and some minute amounts of vitamins and minerals.
(I know, a lot of everything you're trying to stay away from. But, you've got to live a little!)
The story of these cookies goes something like this:
In 1979, Edward Shwom took notice that his children loved chocolate pudding. So one night he decided to pour chocolate pudding over his father's famous ''Jelly Graham Crackers.''(* Jelly Graham Crackers are regular graham crackers, dipped in jam or jelly and then dipped in chocolate.) He let them cool and then covered them in a deep rich chocolate coating..
The next day he presented them to his 4 children, who gobbled them up!
And that is how these yummy pudding cookies were born!
They are now manufactured by the Barricini Chocolate and Candy manufacturers. (Which is a very famous candy manufacturer here in the US.)
(You can write to them about this or any other product at: Rocky Glen Road, Avoca, Pennsylvania 18641,USA)
These cookies make a great dessert or a satisfying sweet snack. Especially with a cold glass of milk!
But be careful! I bet you can't eat just one! ENJOY!
