It was Saturday afternoon on 26th Feb 2011 whe nI had awesome lunch at Britannia & Co. 1st impression was to see standard crowd & descent set up of wooden chairs and tables. One has to tell at cash counter the name in case if you see people in queue.
You'll see menu card below the glass of each table. Don't no at ground floor but at up stairs yes!
I ordered some Irani style boneless chicken with gravy with potato flakes + chapati. And it was really impressive. Gravy was thick, was not spicy [ I like non spicy gravy ] & chicken was too good. I never had to pull any non usable chicken piece from mouth.
After eating that we ordered chicken biryani and I was a bit surprised to see dry fruits and sweetened taste of biryani. Oh yes it was Irani style biryani with some meat balls in it. Biryani was more sweetend not spicy. I was happy with the aroma of some special fruits which were added by them.
Beware! This restaurant is pricy and they accept only CASH !!! Pricy if you are from middle class. If you go there in Mercedes it doesn't sound expensive anyway..Ha! It's a must to try restaurant if you are near "Ballard Estate". Tip = food for 2 costs around 600/- rs [ 1 chicken gravy dish & chapatis , Chicken biryani. ]
