Assembled is Cheap and self calculated Quality !

Well this article of mine is to explain to you people my views of assembled and branded pc .

I've been a user of an assembled pc from the past 3 years and I may consider it very lucky cause I GET WHAT I want in the system. I hereby stress on the'I' thing. Well now a days even BRANDED PC's are made upto the mark for the end user. That ie. u can request the company to adjust to UR need and UR details cause now a days the companys(branded) need business.

Thus it is noted that a branded pc basically which used to cost almost 10-15 thousand buks in the past now normally comes for jus about 5-6 thousand buks more than a person would assemble it for.but ofcourse the freebies that come with the branded pc almost make up for the extra cost.

A techiee guy like me would never go in for the branded pc just cause I would like the pc to be made my way.above all spending the extra buks I would rather add 2-3 more peripherals or ADD on more memory or something or the other ADD on into the system .

Lets consider the following prespectives for branded and unbranded PCS.

1) Compatability!

Well this is'THE' main issue many people OVERLOOK and end up HATING the assembled PCS. When the systems are branded the company's RnD departments normally spends 1000's of buks on the research for the particular hardware that is supporred and that foes into the system .thats what the company undergoes for the service they give to the customer.on the other hand an end user does NOT do any of the following and thats what the end users'LOOSE' upon . They dont use the RIGHT hardware that goes in with the RIGHT hardware. for example when I choose my machine configuration I did a Research in the market for 2 months. On the other hand I would not need to do that if I would go in for a branded machine cause all the perfectly working and compatible hardware is already within the machine.

2) Customization!

Although the machine is something that a person invests a lot of money into . Many buyers buy a system only for basic usage.

By BEWARE! if u are a POWER USER and a PYHCHO GaMER always make up ur own machine!

Althought many branded pcs now give a complete LEVEL of customization facility I would still not go in for that.

3) Self confidence!

Making ur own machine with our own config will give u a sence of boost and a level of self confidence in urself.

The prior 2 month research u put into the details will indirectly lead to a TOTAL technical knowledge u will develop which will just LEAD up always and would never go down.

4) SELF! TROUBLSHOOTING!

Making ur own system gives u an advantage cause u KNOW whats in ur system .

When there is something wrong going in the system u know what exactly is going wrong and u know what to do . whease if u have a company made pc u need to wait long for the tech to come to ur place and they often have policies that u cant open up the pc and other stuff.

The above 4 steps are the BEST 4 points I might consider.

Given an option I would always make my own pc. I made my pc 5 yrs back when I just passed my 11th standard and I assembled it all by myself and im very proud to say that .

Althought I have made a few changes to the system .here I will mention that making ur own pc also gives u the freedom to choose hardware for future upgrades. I will now note it down as a 5th point below.

5) Updatation Problem / No problem.

Many branded PCs are VERY VERY VERY difficult for an upgrade. Let me consider the basic system by a branded pc . The buyer jus got a system for rs.26thousand the cheapest inline and he is very happy with it .

In future he decides to use it as a Gamer Machine as he no longer uses it and would like his son( or any1) to use it to serve his / her gaming needs.

A basic system would NOT include a AGP card support and hence in turn he will have to UPGRADE the precessor / motherboard and even the ram and then buy the video AGP for that matter.

On the other hand if the same buyer had got a customised machine he would have got a motherboard with an onboard video and future support for the AGP card.

Hope I get the point clear.

NOw I will like to tell u abt the customised machine I have and then the CONCLUSION.

My current system:

Pentium III 600EB coppermine.

Intel Original VC820 Motherboard.

Onboard Creative Live SoundCard.

ASUS Riva TNT V3400TNT 16MB 3D card.

Creative LIVE! Blaster 128bit sound card.

17gb Seagate HDD.

80gb Seagate BARRACUDA 7200 RPM Hdd.

1.44 FLoppy drive.
