Hi,
I have read most of Ludlum's novels and have found them to be gripping. In the Bourne series, I have had the distinction of reading the last one first ''The bourne Ultimatum.''
Oh! This is review on the first, so I'll start on it.
The book starts off in mysterious way, as in some hollywood film: a man drifting on sea, an amnesiac who has to put back his past stap by painful step. Others are out to kill him - he doesn't know why. He has a lot of money - he doesn't know why. He finds a woman who becomes his hostage, his lover and finally his wife.
His best friends, except one, are killed. That one remaining friend is the brilliant Saint Alex of Conklin, one of the characters that I really like in the series.
The showdown where he convinces his original team that he is still on their side, while managing to evade his dreaded enemy is brilliantly conceived.
I can't hold back, but the last book is truly outstanding. Wait for my review on that book shortly.
