I recently bought a Bosch Washing Machine in Davanagere City, Karnataka thru a local dealer.
I have been using IFB washing machine and wanted to change since it was 20 years of age and machine was behaving its age. It had served me very well.
Decided on Bosch as I have seen and used Bosch Machines in US of A, which I felt were quieter and does job well.
Buying experience was ok. I had to place order for 6.5 Kg machine and wait for 2 days - since dealer had stock of only 5.5 Kg Bosch washing machines. Finally, when machine was delivered package was all ripped up but machine it self was not damaged or scratched in any manner.
Installation technician came after 2 days from the date of booking installation request thru their call center(done by dealer himself). I had followup their call center for updates 3-4 times.
Installation technician was well mannered and patient in explaining features, instructions, do's and don'ts of the product. He was thorough in his work - per-installation checks, installation and tests.
Now that I have started using this machine, can't avoid comparing to my previous IFB front loading machine. First impressions, this machine is quieter. Since my IFB is 20 years old, it has electromechanical controls where as this has electronic controls. Need to wait and see how this new machine and company behaves as machine gets old.
Bosch needs to seriously & urgently consider expanding their dealer network!!
Imagine a mid size city - district head quarter having "Only" one dealer who sells Bosch washing machines! - No Competition! When things get competitive there will be advantages of sales offers and ready stock availability of all models and sizes which is not present now!
Also, Bosch service network is highly inadequate for geographical spread! - imagine when your technician has to come from a town 120 kms & 4 hours travel time away every time a customer logs a service call!. Come on Bosch, wake up, increase your service staff network! At present, I believe a single location agency is serving 2 - 3 districts, which is ridiculous. Hence this delay in installation and service!
