While browsing the iTunes store recently as I always do, I found a free application called "Boom!" I knew nothing about this particular application, but I loved the name and the cute little green character in front of the icon, I liked to download this game to my phone. It was also included in the top free apps in the iTunes store.
The object of the game is to rescue the little pink character called Pinky of an evil wizard named Bazar. Pinky has been locked in cages, and it's up to the small green character sitting on a tire for rescue. The game only takes a couple of minutes to get used to, and controlled by touching the screen at each end of the drive wheel green forward or backward character.
There are coins to collect and have to wind your way through a series of curves and loops until it finally reaches Pinky trapped in a cage. Once it hits the cage, Pinky is free and the level is complete. I have found that some of the levels are very easy and I was able to complete them in seconds. Other levels, however, were extremely difficult and it took me quite some time to reach the end. Unfortunately, the game said he crossed two worlds, then the game informed me that friends need to recruit five more in the game or pay AU$ 1.99 to unlock the world.
All worlds could be unlocked for AU$ 5.49, but since it was just a game, I did not think this was worth doing and was a little disappointed that "invite friends and continue" as I prefer to just play games on my iPhone on my own when I have to spend some time. It is good to add to your friends and have another way in which they are able to compete against friends to save Pinky.
Overall, I liked this game. It could have included a couple of more unlocked in the free version worlds, but still found it very fun and enjoyable. I loved the characters and often revisiting levels when I'm bored and need something to do. Worth it if you like to play games on your smartphone.
