Where to Bookmyshow~~~~!!. Review on Bookmyshow

While booking a show for Dilli-6, I was checking out all the options available for me to book a ticket, and sadly not many were found! There are not many options available when it comes to online booking of movie tickets unlike those airline/hotel ticketing sites, Yatra, Makemytrip, Cleartrip and blah what not! So, I wandered around on the internet, and came upon with some of the few options available for online booking!

Category 1 - Ticket booking sites for all movies/all theaters/all regions. These include KyaZoonga.com, movies.ghoomo.com, iticket.in, bangalore.ghoomo.com (bangalore only) etc.

Category 2 - Theater specific movie booking websites that include PVRCinemas.com, funCinemas.com, visioncinemas.net and a lot of others!

Category 3 - Informative sites that provide information on movies, theaters, showtimes and also link you to online booking sites. These include nowrunning.com, JustDial.com, Ilaaka.com, movietimes.in and many others!

Now to choose between these vast number of sites is tough, and time consuming!

While sites like iTicketand kyaZoongaare available with options of booking tickets for all theaters/movies, there are a few of the theaters and halls which are missing in their list, some of the options available like selecting and viewing the seating arrangements, prebook and lots of others are missing!

Now, next question, Why BOOKMYSHOW???

a) Fast loading website, good overall information available about theater and the movies.

b) Innovative option of selecting seats from an image of the seating arrangement, where you exactly know the locations of the seats.

c) Secure, I have done around 20 transactions on it, and was able to get the tickets without much hassles(used visa credit card).

d) Almost all theaters/Movies tickets are available.

e) New Prebook feature, just used to book for Delhi-6.

f) Some good promotional offers running on tickets(havent used these features though)

g) Options of booking tickets for Concerts, plays and other cultural events available along with movies.

h) Useful information like Parking facility, Gaming Zone, Food Court etc is also available.

Fees -

A convenience charge of Rs15 per ticket is charged currently which is nominal I think as you dont need to make queues or take tickets. Just show the confirmation message in your mobile and get it confirmed. Though for credit card transactions, credit card should be carried.

Havent used -

Book on Phone(i found internet booking better and effective), Offers, Concerts/plays (because these are only available for select cities). So, I cant comment much on these.

If Everything needed for booking a movie ticket available(including Movie information, Theater information, theater location etc), why not use them.
