Some weeks back, I ordered a White Linen bedsheet on Bombay Dyeing through eBay. I received a package stained [Courier Blaze flash probably combined a pickle consignmnet along staining a snow white bedspread as the pickle oil seeped through the poor packaging into the sheets, illustrations explain].
When complained Mr. Deep Goel - Guarantor of Bombay Dyeing, had several questions, even asking me to accept the stained white sheet for a 10% discount. when I explained that another product like an automotive tyre could be accepted as dirty, but a pristine white linen is a far cry for accepting with stain.
He advised me to ship the sheet back so he can send me replacements, he would not ship the replacement until he sees a scanned copy of shipment to him [covers himself of any risks well from a lurking, devious, customers.us, see copy of the courier receipt].
promises after some mail exchanges that he will pay for courier[see copy], I finally recieve a new package this time properly, Unfortunately for Bombay Dyeing or Mr.Goel am a forgotten case as my trivial 100+ bucks of courier charge is infinitesimal in their big buisness enterprise. couple of gentle reminders and I am asked to send my bank details to drop a cheque and again promptly forgotten. I am not sure if the intention was ever there to honour a commitment.
I am happy that I did not order a whole linen change for the household from this unscrupulous vendor, this is just to advise those gullible brethren of these devious lot under the guise of decent businessman.
