Personally, I really liked Bombay Blues. Situated in Bandra, this restaurant has a very classy look from outside. It is Blue and White and glasses all over the place. The restaurant has a very classy yet trendy look. It has an open air space for people who love to enjoy the natural way. It also has the closed restaurant. The appearance of the restaurant almost amazed me. Everything was so neat and attractive.
Coming to the food, Bombay Blues offers a variety of cuisine including fast food, Italian, Mexican, Thai and much more. I tried Mexican dishes like Nachos and Falafal. Nachos were just superb. They were served with beans and that lovely cheese. It was tasty and really filling. Falafal was also good, though I liked Nachos better. By the time I had these, I was completely full. We then went for Spagetti with creamy cheese. It was as delicious and tempting as the name sounds. We shared all this among 3 people and we were completely full. But the most embarassing moment at this place was when we were having falafal. We just could not break it apart in 3 pieces. Ultimately, we had to ask the waiter to do the needful. But the best part was that we got a 60 bucks drink for free. It was served by mistake but then they gave it to us on the house.
The food served was not bland. It was made according to the Indian taste, though not very spicy, but it was tasty enough. The appearance of the food was appealing enough, infact it was too tempting to resist. Food was served hot.Besides the quantity served was also pretty good. 2-3 people can share from one dish.
The ambience is just superb. I believe thats the best thing about the restaurant. The decor..interiors..everything is just great. The music out here is also great. They put the latest english numbers. Infact I was just patting the feet throughout. So music lovers who also have a craze for food..this is the place for you. The staff was very friendly. They were helpful (just a bit forgetful...they forgot to serve us the water).The service is also damn good. We got the food just 10 minutes after placing the order which is good enough. About reservations, they are not necessary. The place is pretty big and you will definitely get a place out there. Only if it is a very big group, I think you should reserve the place.
Overall, the restaurant is superb and I recommend Bombay Blues to one and all. Its a great hangout especially for teenagers. If you happen to go on Thurday and Saturday nights, you will surely find loads of hunks and babes ;)
