The first thing that hits you of Bluff master is the game show in star one of the same name (both talk about tricking people into believing something) and the song” RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW”.
Well Channel V really hyped the song and though the song picturization is not that impressive, let’s give it to Small B to rap and follow his dad’s footsteps.
(Remember BIG B doing a desi version of Bobby McFerrin’s DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY)
The music is good and some moments (especially the one sequence titles “GATEWAY THEME” where Boman Irani talks to Small B about special days in their lives- well the shot and the music sequence has been done well!!)
Some moments of pure ingenuity and SMALL B’s riveting performance with a slight help from Reitesh Deshmukh, makes this an enjoyable thriller.
The ending could have been better but it is the real let down of the movie. Also about conning people, the movie fails miserably to show Con men at work.
A copy inspiration of Roal Dahl story of conning the con master, - good but not impressive. Tries the OCEAN 11 way and fails.
The remix of the old Hindi numbers, especially DO aur DO paanch, from AMITABH B and SHASHI KAPOOR long yesteryear old con thriller of the same name “DO AUR DO PAANCH” seems to link the two bachhan’s together. But the older B movie was probably much more enjoyable at this time when compared to BLUFFMASTER.
The title song seems to remind me of WILL Smith’s Getting Jiggy with it and recent “HITCH”
But nevertheless, BOLLYWOOD is coming of age and I feel by the way the new movies are coming up with different styles and storylines, the movie is GOOD.
On a rating of 1-10 I would give this a 6.5, no more and probably tempted to give less.
My first review was on BIG B with EK AJNABEE and the second with SMALL B .what an enjoyable coincidence. However let’s end it here at the note that BIG B and Small B are rocking and that’s really what matters. RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW...
