I brought BLUESTAR split air conditioner in May 2011 at Vasanth and Co in Chennai. Though the salesboy in the shop said about the problems of service, I was adamant and brought this AC wishing high quality service. Now I am facing the issue which makes me feel that never any one after reading this review should buy this product. I cooling was very less even after keeping the temp at 16 degrees.
When I called up the customer care and asked about the service they booked the ticket and a boy from VCK enterprises called and asked whether the machine is under warranty or not. When I said it is under warrenty period he took 1 week to attend the ticket. When again I called for the same issue when the machine was out of warranty period he attended on same day. He charged 750 for just cleaning and suggested the that motor has a problem.
He said it will cost Rs1000 for repairing the motor and promised that the machine will have its fullest cooling. I did not believe this and called up the VCK enterprises. They said what the service boy said and I agreed to go for a service. Hde never gave bill for the service and said that they dont have the habbit of giving bills for the service. Again with in a month time the motor had a problem and now its cooling is at its worst.
Again I booked the compliant and after knowing that the same machine had the problem this time a different service boy came. I said I am ok to wait for a day for th services of the same boy who did last time. but they never allowed the same boy to visit my place.
Now, this new guy started saying the same old story and added a new twist. The motor in this machine is a defect one and has to be replaced. He gave an estimate of Rs 6000. I called up a local Ac mechanic and he said that the motor used in my Machine does not belong to this model and it was of a different model. Now what should do. I called up VCk enterprises and they said that the earlier service boy left their office a few days back and they are not responsible for this mess-up. This is how the services of BLUESTAR works. Even if you call up the company they are supporting for what the agency has done. The same thing was told to me by a sales boy abt BLUESTAR in Vasanth and Co when I went there for a look to buy AC.
As long as your machine works fine there wont be any issues. But once it has got any problems then thats it. You will never know where you land up in terms of expenses. Say Bye Bye to BLUETAR. This will bring Dark star to your life.
