Ruskin depicted the child's world skillfully because he experienced a painful lonely childhood .

The girl Binya was much excited because of her beautiful umbrella and the person Ram Bharosa was having a craving wish to get that umbrella in fact that was also the need of his work .He tried hard to get that but all his endeavours became futile and at the moment when he employed a boy Ramraj on his shop then the bad luck of RamBharosa's started, Ramraj made a plan to steal the umbrella which damaged severely the repute of shopkeeper in the premises at the same moment, the emotions of compassion arouse in the heart of Binya because Ramraj was now unable to earn his livelihood .Binya's boastfulness gave these miserable days to the shopkeeper and it was also the result of shopkeeper's envy .At concluded scene Binya gave her umbrella to Bharosa.

In fact Blue Umbrella is a good book recommend for children, not on individual bases but in schools too, it can be helpful in their personality development as well as will play a role as a skill enhancer of spoken English practise.

We can't deny its significance because its price is very economical and it is also included in the collection of Ruskin Bond named Children's Omnibus.
